Your design, a clearly defined manufacturing scope

This service is for customers who already have a design or manufacturing drawings. It is distinct from an Adesis design project. We review the supplied documents to identify the required parts, assemblies and delivery boundaries before preparing a quotation. Any clarification or proposed change is discussed with the customer rather than silently incorporated.

What the drawing package should define

Provide current drawings, revision numbers, quantities, material specifications, critical dimensions and tolerances. State surface and cleanliness requirements, joining details, mating interfaces and any controlled items. Where a 3D file is available, send it with the applicable dimensioned drawings; the approved manufacturing package must be unambiguous.

Assembly and acceptance requirements

Identify whether the request is for individual parts or an assembled unit. Specify any supplied components, fit checks, leak testing, functional checks and inspection documentation required for acceptance. These activities are included only when agreed in the quotation; we do not assign an unstated test or certification level to a drawing.

An actual manufacturing example: electron beam dump

The electron beam dump shown in our selected work was manufactured by Adesis to a customer's design. It is presented as a manufacturing example, not an Adesis design. This distinction also applies when discussing other customer-owned projects or preparing references.

Confidentiality and enquiry preparation

Customer names, drawing details and project identifiers are not published without appropriate permission. Mention confidentiality requirements in your initial contact and agree how drawings should be exchanged before sending restricted material. For a first review, provide the part or assembly description, quantity, drawing status and expected delivery date.

TECHNICAL QUESTIONS

Frequently asked questions

Who owns the design in a build-to-print project?

The customer owns the supplied design. Adesis's role is manufacturing to the agreed drawing package and order scope.

Can drawing revisions be reviewed before quotation?

Yes. Identify the applicable revision for each drawing and specify any open points so that the quotation refers to a defined scope.

Does the service include redesign?

Redesign is not assumed. Any design support or proposed modification is discussed and agreed separately with the customer.

Which inspection documents are supplied?

Required dimensional records, test reports and other documents are defined during quotation and depend on the agreed manufacturing and acceptance scope.
